Actually I don’t know which subject I like to study during this semester, because it’s my first year, but I would choose Estate and contemporary society , this subject is about the conception and configuration of modern Estate following a Foucauldian focus. I like this subject because is very interesting learn about power and how is exercised, also, I kinda like learning and reading about Michel Foucault’s works. In classes we read different texts and participate in works where we apply the contents, for example, one of the work consisted in analyze Do the Evolution by Pearl Jam, relating to the Governmentality History; I remember another one, a work about analyzing a dystopian animation videos called Autodale and relating to Power Propositions. The contents I’ve seen in this subject were Foucault’s notion about Estate , which is a way to apply the power ; the latter is also an important concept, the power is applied to Education System, Jail and Hospital too.
